The best strategy for me to de-stress and unload is to use post-it notes to empty my brain of all my ideas.
I call this “dumping my bucket” or “brain dumping” I write one idea per note pad and then stick them individually on my office wall. When the post its are all stuck to the wall, the tasks and ideas are much easier for me to move into categories.
When I’m satisfied with the groupings, I can determine what ideas I like, what I’m working on, and those that are likely back-burner ideas. Those post its stay on my wall until I take the time to create an action plan together to determine what, when, where and how to bring the ideas to fruition. Then, I take the rest of the day off!
