This month, I’m exploring the field of Professional Organizers, to help answer your most common questions! Today, I’ll answer the following question:
“So how is a savvy yet disorganized shopper to decide how to choose a PO that is right?”
The greatest thing about a free market and small business options is that it gives the client choice.
Compare the difference between what you pay for an attorney’s time, vs. the time of a legal aid. Each person can do the job, they differ in their education level, expertise and expense.
You always have a choice, and if you don’t need specific expertise, credentials or background, you don’t have to choose a high-end PO.
You can choose to work with whomever you want.
There are always people in business who may not have top credentials, or one who is starting out and needs to build a client portfolio. They may not have much experience, but they likely have heart and, hopefully, enough background to not dig you in deeper.
