YEP! – Just like during the emergency drill on airlines… put your oxygen mask on first before assisting children or others.
For most moms, self care is the last priority on the list. But – as my hubby always says: “If mommy ain’t happy, ain’t NOBODY happy!” We know that a happy, healthy mommy is a better mommy. She is happy with herself, and when one is happy with herself, she makes better decisions, is generally less stressed and happier about who she is and where she is going.
Take the time this week to build in time for yourself. Whether it be time to exercise, mediate, meet with friends or treat yourself to something special, like a fresh bouquet of flowers, something yummy to eat, or even a trip out for something cold and refreshing. Treating yourself is a way of honoring yourself and keeping you most important on your list. Spending time and attention to rejuvenate yourself will make everyone happier!
