“The 2 Minute Rule” is single greatest tip I picked up from David Allen’s book, Getting Things Done.
So often we put things off because we over-estimate how long things will take to complete. When you review the tasks on your list, roughly estimate which ones will take less than two minutes to complete. If you that a task is going to take you less than two minutes to accomplish, do it right now (as long as you have some time on your hands and you’re not in the middle of a meeting!)
It’s a waste of energy to keep minute, niggly tasks on your to-do list because they take up space in the back of your mind until you complete them. AND – They may even get lost in the shuffle! Busy moms and mompreneurs need all of the energy they can get!
