You’re a mom in business, or you’re at least contemplating the whole idea. And chances are good you’re also a natural connector. You connect with friends and family face-to-face, over social media and arrange your family’s social schedule.
If you’re like most Mompreneurs you probably have about 5 hours a day (if that) to devote to your business because you’re busy being a mom. So let me ask you…
What if it were possible to:
1. Double your business productivity during the hours you spend on it?
2. Fill your revenue pipeline with sustainable business every single week that’s cheap, easy and low tech?
3. Do both of the above without changing your current circumstances?
I’m here to tell you it’s not only possible, but even predictable. We’re going to talk about how to make this happen for you in my upcoming interview with Cena Block of www.sanespaces.com on Word of Mom Radio, March 4th 2014 @ 1pm Eastern.

The New Mompreneur Reality – Great News for Natural Connectors
Regardless of what business you’re in, Connection Marketing is dramatically overtaking the disconnected “arms length” marketing that became so prevalent on the Internet over the past handful of years.
Think about it. How many e-mail lists have you unsubscribed from because you feel like you’re just a random person on their list? And if you’re active on the Internet, aren’t you spending more time connecting with people on Facebook rather than responding to e-mails?
[Tweet “To overcome marketing clatter, many people are yearning for good old #connections that work!”]
There’s so much marketing clatter out there that most folks have pulled back from “arms length” consumption and secretly crave the one-on-one relationship building of days gone by. So how does a Mompreneur use that to her advantage in today’s market?
Great news: If you’re willing to embrace the new realities of what I call The Connection Economy, there’s a much faster way to reach your target audience and build your business.
How I Accidentally Discovered The Secret
In my early 30’s I took a straight commission job selling school jackets to kindergarten through eighth-grade kids. Even though it was a ‘job’, I knew I had to treat it like a business if I wanted to make it work.
The result? I generated over $1,000,000 in personal sales during a two-year period.
How did this happen? Well I can tell you it ‘s not because I was a phenomenal salesperson. It’s because I discovered the power of (insert drumroll)… selling to a GROUP.
Now, there are some important keys to making it work which I’ll be sharing. But I can tell you that a simple 45-minute presentation I developed ended up selling 95% of those who attended. So for every ten people who attended, nine or more bought jackets.
Hint: At the group presentation I was ‘selling’ a survey to see if K-8th grade students would be interested in buying a school jacket. Then the sales flowed from there. This is just one of the strategies which I’ll be sharing during my upcoming interview on Managing Mompreneur Mayhem with Cena Block.
Once I realized selling to a group was the shortest path to success, I incorporated it into other businesses and have been using it successfully for 25+ years:
- I started a direct sales company where we sold home décor products doing – you got it – Group Presentations
- I began training decorators how to replace one-on-one selling with group presentations – they could hardly keep up with the demand
- I started promoting (and still promote) an online color certification course through free webinars – again, “selling to many” fills my revenue funnel
- Currently I work with professional organizers and other Mompreneurs to help them see what’s possible by selling to many instead of one
Here’s the bottom line. My big AH-HA – and now your AH-HA: Group selling works.
[Tweet “Connecting with groups of ideal #clients is the best way to create more #sales!”]
In fact it works even better now because it’s the fastest way to make that personal connection with your target audience in the new Connection Economy. Not only that, as you’ll see it works beautifully regardless of your product, service or industry.
So here’s my question: Do you want your business to make more money in less time while you still enjoy being a Mom?
