I’m excited to share a new book written by my friend Sangita Patel. Sangita is a author, speaker, and energy healer (and a wonderful friend of mine!) Her journey began after surviving a car accident and losing her only brother. When Sangita embraced her inner self, she awakened her natural ability to heal. I’ve worked with Sangita personally, and know of her amazing, intuitive gifts. She is committed to help those who are willing to heal themselves to live a joy filled life.
She is an Integrated Energy Therapy® Master Instructor, Spring Forest Qigong Practitioner, EFT practitioner, Teacher of Seraphic Wisdom. She is the owner of Embrace Your Inner Self and you may find her on Facebook at www.facebook.com/Embraceyourinnerself, Twitter at @sangita019 and LinkedIn at http://linkd.in/1owcED5
Thanks so much Sangita for sharing your new book with us! Read on to become inspired!
Sangita Patel’s new book promotes natural healing and awakening the inner self
‘Embrace Your Inner Self’ discusses alternative healing modalities, author’s struggle, success with healing.
It is no secret that the body can heal from wounds. Author and energy healer Sangita Patel invites readers to the world of natural healing that exists outside the route of modern medicine in her new book, “Embrace Your Inner Self: Awaken Your Natural Ability to Heal” (published by Balboa Press).
In 1989, Patel was in a car crash, which resulted in the passing of her brother and severe damage to her legs. For the next 18 years, Patel struggled to “make inner peace and heal from within,” as she dealt with numerous surgeries on her legs and fought an arduous mental battle.
In 2005, Patel began practicing the healing method known as Qigong, which uses slow movements to promote inner healing. As if her prayers for healing had been answered, Patel soon found herself feeling better than ever before.
In her new book, Patel discusses the many healing methods she has grown to love and use daily. She covers numerous healing modalities in each chapter, from harmonizing one’s chakras, to connecting with the inner self. She then follows each chapter with a worksheet for readers to fill out as they practice the method, which acts as a guide and progress tracker.
“Everyone is in need of some kind of healing,” Patel says, “and this book facilitates physical, emotional, mental and spiritual healing guidance – not only to oneself but for others and our planet.”
Patel hopes her book will help readers heal their own wounds – whether they are physical, mental or spiritual.

Here is an excerpt from Chapter 1
Rediscovering My Inner Child
Be the change you want to see in the world. —Mahatma Gandhi
For almost eighteen years, the emotional and physical pain of the car accident that killed my little brother and left me unable to walk had ruled me, inside and out. I had lost Niraj, and the pain in my left foot was so excruciating that I could not stand for more than three minutes at a time. Every few months I had to undergo arthroscopic surgery to vacuum out the bone chips that had collected in my left ankle, where I had no cartilage.
Why me? Why? Angry with God, I cried my eyes out. After all the years of surgeries and painkillers, I was not getting any better. My health was only getting worse, and I was putting on weight at an alarming rate. I felt numb from all of the suffering. I could not even feel emotionally attached to my children. I was up to my neck in grief and anxiety. Please, I thought, no more medications. No more surgeries or needles in my body. I felt like a volcano, ready to blow up. It had gotten so bad that I did not want to live anymore. I did the only thing left to do: I turned to the universe and prayed for a miracle.
And it happened…
