Here are 7 sure-fire ways to invest in yourself that enhance self-awareness.
1. Training: Beef Up Your Skills
One of my mottos is to never stop learning. The key is to find opportunities that provide support and training in areas in which you have current gaps. If you’re lacking sales, find opportunities for sales training. If you know you’d market your services more effectively through groups, find opportunities to learn how to speak or how to create presentations and signature programs that can showcase your expertise for potential clients.
2. Use Your Strengths More Frequently
Each of us has natural strengths and skill sets. Enhancing your self-awareness will encourage you to find ways to incorporate your natural strengths and make the commitment to invest in them. For example, if you are creative, it is important to accept this about yourself first, then find ways to exercise and enhance your abilities. You may want to teach an adult class or start a creativity or craft club. In both examples, you’ll put your strengths to work. The ultimate prize is to find happiness in your business is to do more of what you love and release more of what you don’t love.
3. Hire A Mentor or Coach To Increase Self-Awareness
Enhance your self-awareness by hiring a mentor or coach. These professionals are trained to help you enhance self-awareness and focus in on yo is the key to success. Most people have an exciting energy to start projects but lack the mobility to keep things going long enough to implement. Many find it difficult to stay focused and fall short when managing their time.
Hiring a mentor or business coach will help you get focused on daily activities that support your desired goals. If possible, invest in a coach that specializes in the area where you need the most help, to increase your commitment levels and hold yourself accountable. Today’s competitive landscape requires you to stay on track by investing in someone that can provide you with the tools and perspective to keep you focused and on track to meet your goals.
4. Self-Awarenees Increases When You Surround Yourself With High Performers
I’m a singer. I’ve done a fair share of professional singing in my career and even though it’s always been a hobby and a love of mine, I’ve been able to do some pretty great things. I’ve been lucky enough to have performed with some pretty great, talented people… and each time I am in their presence, I push myself to get better, perform better, and enhance my techniques. Working with high performers calls you to be your best self. Surrounding yourself with high performers is one of the easiest paths toward self-development.

5. Invest in Time Off & Rejuvenation
Feeling ease and flow is the key to success in both business and in life. Contribute to your success by dedicating time to relaxation and rejuvenation. The people who are most successful create routines and patterns that support their health and wellness first. The most successful people are also those who regularly exercise, spend time doing what they love, and take time for rejuvenation. Meditation, exercise, monthly clubs or social gatherings are different ways to fill your fountain back up – so you can continue to flow out to others.
6. Mastermind With Advisors
Have you ever experienced the power of a “HOT SEAT” for yourself and your business? As a part of my own business investment, I’ve had the pleasure of participating in mastermind sessions with like-minded entrepreneurs from all disciplines and areas of expertise. The ‘hot seat’ is when you get to tackle a current business problem and have the attention of all the others on your business. Invest in yourself by enrolling in a mastermind program like this one. Or create your own business advisory board or Mastermind group who meet regularly to offer collaborative feedback, advice, and guidance for your business.
7. Leverage Personal Relationships To Enhance Self-Awareness
Identify your circle of influence. Who surrounds you today? Do they support and guide your personal development and business decisions? Do you have current relationships that help you move your life and your business in the direction you want it to go? If you are feeling isolated or alone, it is a good time to invest in how to network the right way. Learn to value your time and how to connect with the right people. Nurture the relationships that matter most. Give them your attention and keep the most meaningful relationships active at all times.
