Let’s face it – we’re all busy.
But, you need to recognize that there’s an important difference between being busy and frenzied rushing through your days. When you rush you exhibit characteristics of fear and frenzy. Rushing puts you into a state of alarm, and activates your endocrine system into a fight or flight response.
To avoid the frenzied rush, many entrepreneurs establish daily and weekly routines that keep things in check. One of the best ways to remedy a ‘rush-a-holic’ life-style is to begin paying attention to the conditions and things that cause you to rush in the first place.
Where would routines save you from rushing?
- Do you find yourself constantly rushing to get out of the house in the mornings?
- Do you rush when you get home – to throw dinner together?
One of the key indicators that you will be well-served by creating a routine is the actual act of rushing! Pay attention to your stressors this week, and see if you can push back to create an ongoing routine in place of the rush frenzy that occurs regularly.
When you focus you make fewer mistakes, you experience more peace, and you get more done.

Your Sanity Assignment
If you catch yourself in the act of rushing this week, note when it’s occurring and what is happening. Instead of rushing, focus on what you could systemize to create a routine that will help you focus and staying calm. Be swift in your actions and decisions but avoid that rushed state of mind.
