What does your environment reveal about your internal thoughts and feelings?
I’m excited to share a post by my friend Jennifer Urezzio. Jennifer Urezzio specializes in helping people connect – to themselves, to each other, and to the Divine. She founded a new paradigm, Soul Language, which provides guidance for understanding our true nature and tools for accessing deeper levels of awareness. This new insight into how the Soul expresses itself is being embraced by top healers, lifestyle coaches, and CEOs all over the world as a method for helping people recognize their purpose and live from a place of power and truth. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jennifer on my own entrepreneur’s journey – and you can too!
Thanks so much Jennifer for sharing your insights with us! Read on to become inspired!
The other day, I looked around my house.
Here’s the visual:
There were dirty dishes in the sink, there were clothes on the floor, and books and papers were strategically stationed all around the house.
Here’s the thing. I’m not an overly neat person, and I’m not this messy. And, I had a moment of deep clarity. I kind of felt like a mess inside.
I knew the cause, mending over a broken up romance. And this reflection of my home let me know that I “needed” to start taking better care of my internal environment.
So before I washed the dishes or made the bed, I took out my journal and began asking myself some reflected questions. I guide spiritual renegades (people who are going to do it like anyone else) to create a deeper connection with themselves, others and the Divine. One of the processes I use to do this is called Soul Language – which helps identify the three core energies of your Soul. This allows you to understand and accept yourself more completely, and it helps you to see that you are the creator of your Universe.
[Tweet “You are the creator of your #universe. We are all whole and complete. @BusinessofSoul”]
Here’s the truth. We are all whole and complete.
There is an essential part of you that knows that you are loved, safe, whole, complete and provided for. Most of us can’t hear that part of ourselves because of programming and beliefs that conflict with this truth. These beliefs are called habitual beliefs. Those thoughts that lead to emotions that run in your brain like a hamster runs on a wheel. And most of them don’t support this big truth (that you are whole and complete).
So, here was my environment showing me that I felt like a mess inside, that I felt not enough (because there sure wasn’t enough space in any part of my environment). So what is your environment showing you about your internal thoughts and feelings? And how do you create a deeper sense of peace and safety internally?
Your Sanity Assignment
This exercise can help you transform your internal space, which will extend to every part of your life.
- Take a deep breath and connect to your heart (If you know your Soul Language Team, connect to the Team. If you don’t know them, you can learn one of your 3 Soul Languages during a discovery session by clicking here).
- Ask yourself what your environment or a situation is trying to share with you about yourself.
- Is this situation a big theme in your life? (not enough, not safe, etc.)
- What does your Soul want you to know right here and now to help you transform this belief or big theme in your life?
- What do you get to accept about yourself fully and completely to create a life of happiness and abundance?
After you answer all of these questions, I suggest that you write out an affirmation and repeat it several times a day, especially when you notice that big theme or negative belief showing up in your head, on your lips, or in your environment. An example is,
“I ACCEPT THAT I AM ENOUGH, AND I AM READY TO EXPERIENCE THIS IN MY WORLD.”
If you have trouble creating your affirmation, you can set up a 15-minute discovery session with me, and I can guide you through the process.
The next time you go to rearrange your environment or to wash a dish, this is an excellent time to reflect about your environment, your beliefs, and how you can transform your life.
