The right tools can help you create and sell information products seamlessly.
As a professional organizer and DIY blogger, online monetization strategies are crucial to my success. My hope is that these tips inspire you to take action and share your valuable knowledge with the world. I’m here to support and motivate you, so let’s rock this!
One of my preferred ways to monetize now is selling my own information products. It was the highest income stream of my online efforts last year, and I intend to ramp it up even more in the coming months.
Per usual, there is a method to my madness. I have systems out the wazoo. I mean I have a routine for getting tattoos, so of course I have one for creating the information products I sell! This boils down to what’s in my toolbox.
These are 5 resources I use to create and sell my information products.
They help me put everything together and run things seamlessly:
I create my information products in Microsoft Word, since none of them have involved the audio or video formats yet. I use the Publishing Layout Document feature since it comes with predesigned templates I can choose from and edit. From there, I write the content and layout the whole thing. Then I export the document to a PDF. It’s easy and therefore fantastic. No complicated softwares necessary.
I actually have a background in graphic design, but staying up to date with the latest design programs on my computer is way too expensive and time-consuming. I hire someone to design the graphics that accompany my products and I use Fiverr.com to do so. It costs only $5!!!! Need I say more?
Currently, the shopping cart I use is called JVZoo. I like it because there are no upfront or monthly costs, which sets this seller platform apart from a lot of the others. JVZoo charges a small percentage when you actually do sell a product, so if you don’t sell any products then you are not charged.
Also, it has its own affiliate options so you don’t have to run a separate affiliate program on another platform. It’s a huge plus to be able to see affiliate details, sales reports and so on all in one dashboard for your products.
I now use Aweber as my email service. I just have to say that Aweber is amazing, and I love it!
I use Aweber’s sign up forms to capture email addresses from those visiting my website and social media platforms. These people are added to my inner tribe, and I keep in touch with them using Aweber’s broadcasts and autoresponder features. I also keep track of statistics using their detailed reports and make adjustments to my emails accordingly.
If you’re going to pay for online advertising, then it should be Facebook ads in my opinion. I’ve had HUGE success with driving traffic to my site, getting email opt-ins and selling products directly because of Facebook advertising. I have been able to do this repeatedly and without making large financial investments.
I recommend checking out Nick Unsworth’s website. He’s the Facebook marketing genius that I follow and his advice has gotten me results, so get on his bandwagon as soon as you can.
There you have it: the 5 tools that I use to create and sell information products, so that I can share my talent with the world and really help those who can benefit from it. I encourage you to do the same and hope that seeing this behind-the-scenes look inspires you to move past any mental roadblocks standing in your way. Ready?
