The Dip In December Productivity
When it comes to entrepreneurship, the number one skill should probably be “juggling.” That’s because entrepreneurs have to balance so much, from the ideation of new products and services to building staff and extending a marketing network. Add to that the holidays and the task ahead can feel almost impossible. How do you fit everything in, keep productivity on track, and do all the extras that are required or desired at the holidays?
Those may include parties with clients, presents for employees and other end-of-year tasks. It’s almost like a battle you cannot win. So instead, what do you do to maintain as much camaraderie and enjoyment as possible, while still getting work done?
Well for starters, you can turn the time to gather into a time to boost morale not only for employees but for yourself. That means scheduling food get-togethers to celebrate accomplishments for example, or to try goal setting. You can also give a little bit of flexibility—even just a day or two—to employees.
