If you are a busy entrepreneur struggling with creating and maintaining your goals, you must create a weekly schedule and planning systems to put these plans into action.

Humans form habits around reliable and repeatable tasks. And, it’s important to distinguish between tasks and scheduling.
To save time, list repeating tasks, chores and projects. Then consider “scheduling” each as a routine.
Tasks such as laundry, shopping, cleaning, dishes, and home maintenance are all regularly required to efficiently run home. Consider your weekly schedule and set a block of time to complete these tasks cyclically.

Use the technique that I use with my family… Our weekly scheduling appointment we refer to as Sunday Sanity Summit. During our weekly scheduling meeting, we sit around the kitchen table after dinner on Sunday evenings and review everyone’s upcoming weekly schedules. We also plan out our dinner menus for the week and figure out who is going where.
This one weekly scheduling routine has made a HUGE difference for my family and in our shared sense of accountability to prioritizing family time and what is most important.
Also, now that the kids are older (teens) – we use iCal and Google Calendar to schedule reminders and recurring appointments like sports events, boy scout meetings, and weekend commitments.
